As your new course is shorter than your original course then once you have completed this study you will be required to either enrol in further studies, apply for a different type of visa or depart Australia within 28 days (student visa condition 8202 states that you cannot remain in Australia for longer than 28 days without a current CoE for studies commencing no more than 2 months from the completion of your previous course).

These factors include whether a student legitimately finished the course early, whether the student has a good academic record, and whether it is reasonable to expect the student to enrol in another course during the course gap.
